Morning:
Begin your day early and drive from Luxembourg to Namur. Upon arrival, head straight to the Citadel of Namur. The citadel is the city’s main attraction, sitting high above the city and offering panoramic views of the Sambre and Meuse rivers. You can explore the underground tunnels or take a walking tour through its beautiful gardens. Don’t miss the Museum of Ancient Weapons inside the citadel, which offers an exciting glimpse into the fortress’s military past.

Lunch:
After a morning spent at the citadel, enjoy lunch at one of the charming cafés located in Place d'Armes. This central square is surrounded by historic buildings, making it the perfect spot for a leisurely lunch. Try some local specialties, such as Belgian fries or croquettes with Leffe beer.

Afternoon:
After lunch, take a short walk to the Saint-Aubain Cathedral, a neo-classical masterpiece with stunning interior details, such as its baroque altarpiece and stained-glass windows. Then head towards The Felicien Rops Museum, named after the famous 19th-century Belgian artist. The museum houses an impressive collection of his works and is located in the artist’s former home. Afterward, take a walk along the Meuse River, enjoying the tranquil views and stopping at the Parc de la Boverie, a lovely park where you can relax by the water or explore the art exhibits.
