Introduction
The Black Forest (Schwarzwald) is a stunning mountainous region in southwestern Germany, famous for its dense forests, charming villages, cuckoo clocks, and scenic landscapes. Home to picturesque towns like Triberg, Baden-Baden, and Freiburg, the area offers hiking, thermal spas, waterfalls, and traditional German cuisine. Visitors can explore fairytale castles, deep valleys, and crystal-clear lakes, making it a perfect destination for nature lovers, adventure seekers, and those looking for a relaxing escape. The Black Forest is also the inspiration behind many of the Brothers Grimm’s fairytales.
Day 1 Itinerary

Morning: Spa Relaxation & Scenic Stroll
Depart from Luxembourg early and drive to Baden-Baden, a historic spa town at the northern edge of the Black Forest. Start your visit at the Caracalla Spa, where you can relax in natural thermal waters. After a refreshing soak, take a stroll along the Lichtentaler Allee, a beautiful park lined with grand 19th-century mansions.

Late Morning:
Visit the Fabergé Museum, home to an exquisite collection of jeweled artifacts. Walk through the elegant streets and stop by the historic Kurhaus Casino, one of the most beautiful casinos in Europe.

Lunch:
Enjoy a meal at Restaurant Le Jardin de France, a Michelin-starred restaurant offering exquisite French-German fusion cuisine.

Afternoon: Waterfall & Panoramic Views
Drive to the Geroldsau Waterfall, a scenic spot surrounded by lush greenery. Then, head to Merkur Mountain, where you can take the Merkur Funicular Railway to the top and enjoy stunning panoramic views. If you love adventure, go for a short hike around the peak.

Evening: Traditional Dinner & Relaxing Drink
Check into your hotel and have dinner at Molkenkur, a traditional Black Forest restaurant known for its local specialties like Schwarzwälder Schinken (Black Forest ham) and Spätzle (German noodles).

End the evening with a relaxing drink at a cozy wine tavern in the town.
