Day 1 Itinerary

Morning: Arrival & Unter den Linden
Arrive in Berlin from Luxembourg via ICE train or short flight and check into your hotel. Begin your journey at the iconic Unter den Linden boulevard, where imperial grandeur meets modern life. Walk past the Berlin State Opera and Humboldt University, soaking in the city’s rich academic and cultural history.

Make your way to the Brandenburg Gate, Berlin’s most famous monument, once a symbol of division and now of unity. Just around the corner, visit the haunting Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, an architectural labyrinth that invites quiet reflection.

Hidden Gem: Pop into the serene Neue Wache, a neoclassical guardhouse turned poignant war memorial, home to Käthe Kollwitz’s powerful sculpture Mother with Her Dead Son.

Lunch:
Dine at Café Einstein Stammhaus, a classic Berlin coffee house set in a beautiful villa. Try the Wiener schnitzel or homemade strudel, and don’t miss their rich Viennese-style coffee.

Afternoon: Museum Island & Berlin Cathedral
Cross the river into UNESCO-listed Museum Island, a cultural treasure trove. Choose one or two highlights like the Pergamon Museum with its monumental Ishtar Gate, or the Altes Museum for Greek and Roman antiquities.

Stroll through the lush Lustgarten and step inside the majestic Berlin Cathedral—climb to the dome for sweeping views of the city.

Hidden Gem: Wander behind the museums to the James-Simon-Galerie terrace for peaceful riverside views and sleek modern architecture.

Dinner:
Head to Zur letzten Instanz, Berlin’s oldest restaurant dating back to 1621. Enjoy traditional dishes like Eisbein (pork knuckle) and Sauerkraut in a rustic setting filled with history.

Drinks:
Finish your evening with cocktails at Bar Tausend, a sleek hidden bar tucked under the railway near Friedrichstraße—where Berlin’s vibrant nightlife pulses behind unmarked doors.
